Cold Weather Preparedness
Cold weather poses a frequent and serious threat in Barry and Stone counties. Unlike severe storms, the dangers of extreme cold, such as hypothermia, frostbite, and hazardous driving conditions, are often underestimated or overlooked. We urge all residents to prioritize preparedness and understand the significant, often life-threatening, risks associated with sustained low temperatures.
