We’ve had a few questions about all the sirens and activity around town on Wednesday. There were 8 incidents. This included two residential structure fires, five medical emergencies and a controlled burn. Three of the incidents occurred at nearly the same time. In reference to the structure fires one was in the Stallion Bluff area and ended up being a failed HVAC unit that filled the home with smoke, crews checked for heat and fire, then evacuated the smoke from the home. The second structure fire was the result of a cooking fire with minimal damage to the kitchen as well as some smoke damage throughout.
