On September 14th the CCFPD Crew set up at Shaken in the Shell. The department had a significant presence this year with multiple apparatus and equipment on display, we had the Command trailer, Engine 1, Rescue, Tanker 11, Brush 1, and Car 2 all set up and show cased for the community to look at, in addition we had activities for all ages to engage in. The event offered a variety of activities, including knots classes, hands only CPR training, a stop-the-bleed session, and a house fire prop. We had a large photo booth set up and a mannequin with gear to pose with and if they posted to social media and used any of our hashtags they were entered in to a drawing for a basket donated by Brenda’s Blossoms (a local Business) and 858 Leather Co. (owned by James Baker). We also had a coloring contest for school aged kids, the contest winner will receive a ride to school in one of our fire trucks. We took the ladder mill and let people climb and compete on a leader board. The crew had a great time interacting with community members and answering questions.
