Over 100 community members participated in Central Crossing Fire Protection
District’s fundraising breakfast and “Touch a Truck” event. After filling up with
pancakes, bacon, and sausage as well as biscuits and gravy, families checked out the
station’s emergency vehicles. Kids squirted a fire hose at a “burning” building and
climbed into huge trucks to try out the flashing lights.
The purpose of this event was to kick off fund-raising for a new mini-grant program.
This funding will provide financial support for emergency workers to get specialized
training that goes beyond what the district currently offers. Because of you, we’re
off to a great start! Thank you for your generosity.
